Grungy Monday 09 : Shabby Chic

This week's Grungy Monday technique is the wonderful Shabby Chic technique - the very first Tim Holtz technique I learnt and one which I used to do all the time but which I have sadly got out of the habit of using.

As Grungy Monday celebrates everying Tim Holtz, Linda has taken us back to Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas 2007.  If you click the link here you will be transported back to Tim's blog and the details of the technique.

I am just loving these Dance stamps and just had to get them out again, so my Shabby Chic technique was done on blue card using Hero Arts French Script stamp (one of my favourites!) and I used a Ranger Pearl Dabber.  I do love blue and white - crisp but soothing at the same time. I had intended to make a large white "floppy" fabric flower, but got carried away and stuck these paper ones down instead!

Click the link here to Studio 3 to see wonderful examples from Guest Designers Jennie and Kaz, Linda's wonderful heart warming tropical piece and a heap of wonderful examples from other bloggers.

I'm still having problems leaving comments on some sites, so apologies!

Have a good week everyone.

This really evoques dance well, the colors remind me of the softness of a tutu and the colors evoque dream. I once dreamed of being a ballerina. Your tag brings back great memories to me. Thank you for that.
