Simmer Dim



I just thought I would share this photograph.  It is 00:10 am and the sun is setting here in Tingwall.  It is the shortest night - in Shetland it is called the simmer dim.  A light mist is settling over the fields and the loch.   I am so blessed to live in such a wonderful place.

I have to say I was thinking of you the other day. You see I have finally been able to get hold of Lillian Beckwith books on e-reader so have started re-reading them! I know you are not Hebrides but I could hardly think of Lillian doing scrapbooking then!!
