Jenny Wren

It is twist time at Crafts Too Challenge You!!  Our theme this month is Choose a Decade or Era but the twist is now LAYERS.

For my third DT piece this month I have used the second of the adorable Marianne Design Vintage Ladies stamps to create a layered tag.

I used papers again from the Marianne Designs Vintage Paper Pad and over stamped them with a Vintage Text in Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I used the same paper to roll a couple of flowers (it is amazing how much you can get out of one A5 piece of paper!) and layered these with some small white rosebuds, stamens and scrim.

And Jenny Wren - the little tag is covered with some book text from an Enid Blyton Book (the Family at Redroofs) which I picked up in a charity shop recently.  I used to get called Jenny Wren a lot when small and there is a whole chapter in this book with the same title!  The other children are also called Terence (my  husband) and Molly (my mother in law) and so it has been exceedingly useful little book!

I do hope you will join us in this challenge -click the link HERE for some more wonderful inspirational pieces from the Design Team.

A brilliant design using the gorgeous stamp Jennie. How wonderful that charity shop find fits in so well with family names, brilliant. Fabulous layers, thanks for a great DT sample.

Utterly delicious, Jennie - this is so beautiful. The image is a delight, and your subtle colour palette, book page, stitching, layered tags and of course the flowers all add up to something really special.
