Steampunk goes Pastel .............

Steampunk is the current challenge at Anything But a Card and I thought I would do something a little different.  (As soon as I saw this stamp I had to have it - explanation at the end of the post).

After embossing a white flourish I used Broken China and Dusty Concord Distress Inks (one of my favourite combinations) and used the Tim Holtz Wrinkle Free Distress Technique to cover my tag.  I just LOVE this technique.  My tag looked fabulous and the shame was I was crafting at night and couldn't get a photo! and I had so many projects to complete before the holiday I just had to keep going!

I used Broken China and Dusty Concord wherever possible just using a little bit of Vintage Photo to give a vintage feel.

This is the second week of our challenge at Anything But a Card. I do hope you will join in.

And why do I love this stamp.  Up until 10 years ago I was a reasonable long distance cyclist and our holidays were always on the bikes, packed up and cycling up to 1000 miles over a four week period, even in the Alps in Italy and France.  Then my husband had a very bad accident, sadly on his bike and suffered major disabling injuries.  Sailing has now taken over from cycling and we love it just as much.

One of my cycling outfits (padded shorts and top!) bought in Italy was pure Dusty Concord and my helmet a good Broken China.  But of course I didn't know those colours then!

Still sailing..........

Stunning tag Jennie and what a fab photo of you on the bike. Hope your sailing holiday is still going well and that the weather is kind to you!
Great tag - very feminine steampunk. And I love your pre-crafting colour synchronicity!
