Letters for Caitlyn ........

As I am still beaming at being granny to a beautiful little girl I just had to make something for her! So here is Caitlyn's first little book - I thought I might use it to write down some of her sayings as she gets older (in that she is only six weeks old it will be a little while before it is used!).

We have a fabulous theme at Country View Crafts this month - LETTERS! and this was another wonderful opportunity to use up some of those Basic Grey sticky letters which I seem to have a huge amount of.  I stuck them all over my Ranger Tags (#8) and then covered them all in Gesso.

Once that was dry I sprayed both tags with mists made from Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo Re-inkers (with a bit of Perfect Pearls mixed in).  Finally I gave them a spray with some Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist (sadly just about the last of the bottle).

And then it was down to decorating.  I have had this gorgeous Graphics45 Stamp for ages and I think it will now get quite a bit of use!  I used shades of Vintage Photo to colour it in and then splattered it with a few drops.

I mounted the tags onto some board to create two covers and used six tags to make the book.  I just tied the tags together with some crumpled up seam binding and a vintage button so I can open the book at any time for photographs or journalling.

I do hope you will join us in our challenge at Country View Crafts.  Click the link here for our current challenge page, but please do look out for the wonderful inspirational pieces being posted during the month by the Design Team and our Winners.

And finally Caitlyn herself - she wasn't awake much when I was visiting!

Callum is very sweet and gentle with her. I hope it lasts!

I can't wait for my next visit at the end of this month!

Caitlyn is adorable (and so is Callum). Many congratulations! Your tag book is stunning, such a great idea to use letters in that way. Time passes so quickly, as we have found with our 1 year old GD, I am sure you will fill the book in no time! Hugs, Anne x
