Tagging Along!

Good morning everyone and as it is my first post of 2014 a Happy New Year!  A little late unfortunately as Shetland has been experiencing wifi and mobile problems after a cable was cut in Edinburgh nearly two weeks ago!  My apologies for not having been a great visitor to your blogs these last couple of weeks, but fingers crossed it seems to be working at the moment!

I don't make New Year resolutions but I have some thoughts of what I want to try and join in with this year and one of those is Tim's Tags - I managed just one last year.

I just loved this month's tag, the basis of which is metal and paint and you can see all the details HERE on Tim's blog.

As I didn't have any Black Distress Paint I used my favourite Dusty Concord (I have it in all the medias).  I am amazed at the different colours/shades you can get just using one colour - Distress Stains, Distress Inks and Distress Paint. (My mother would have called this colour "puce"! - I much prefer Dusty Concord.)

I also used a different clock and centred my pieces around travel rather than time. I really enjoyed making this tag and it has set me up for the rest of the month.  I hope you will have the time to play along too.

It is a quiet month for me as I have January off from two DTs! What will I do with myself? ....... I can't wait to start experimenting with these lovely PaperArtsy Fresco Paints and Crackle Glaze - all very new to me so very exciting!

Thanks for visiting!
