Brown is the New Black!

Hello Everyone and welcome, especially to new followers it is lovely to have you here!

You might not have guessed but this is my take on Tim's February tag. I am not a great lover of Valentines I am afraid so I decided to follow the same steps but make it in a more vintage style.

Here is Tim's February tag and a link HERE if you want to catch up on all the techniques:

I used:
a Harlequinn Mask instead of the Hearts Mask
lace instead of the metal trim
a key instead of the arrow
and a flower instead of the heart
using the Tattered Florals die
(tutorial on the side bar!)

The Chalkboard is not quite so clear on the brown card but I still like the effect - and quite an apt quote I thought!

I did the whole tag with Vintage Photo Distress Ink applying different pressures to get subtle or stronger tones.

Thank you so much for visiting and all your lovely comments on my make for Frilly and Funkie!  I really do appreciate it.

Stunning take on the original Jennie (and probably more to my taste if I am honest!) Love the vintage colours you have chosen and how you replaced Tim's embellies with your own more vintage style ones! The chalkboard effect looks great on the brown too!
Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!!! I absolutely LOVE your color palette and your take on Tim's Feb. tag. The lace is totally gorgeous and the key is the perfect embellishment. Great minds think alike. I was just working on my version of the Feb. tag and had that Distressed Doily die out playing around with it for mine too, but I decided on butterflies :) This is really special, Jennie!

Hugs,
Linda
