Vintage Time Traveller

Good morning everyone from a very wet and windy Shetland! Today is a bonus day over at A Vintage Journey as the Design Team are sharing tags made in the Tim Holtz style filling the spot which will eventually be filled by winners and Guest Creative Travellers.

I couldn't wait to get started with the wonderful Time Traveller stamp set when it arrived last week along with two new Distress Inks - Salty Ocean and Gathered Twigs.

I inked my base tag using the two DIs and a mixture of blending and wrinkle free - I do this all the time!  Once dry I overstamped using Picket Fence Distress Stain with the wonderful background stamp from Papillon - I just love this effect. I left it to dry naturally and then overstamped again with the wheels stamp in Gathered Twigs, stamping off first on a piece of paper, so this was a second generation inking. I loved it so much I didn't want to cover it up!

One of the time travellers got painted in the same DIs and I added a few bits of tissue tape, labels and that fabulous negative strip which I never tire of.

Thank you for travelling with me this morning and I would suggest that you pop over to A Vintage Journey and look at the wonderful tags made by the rest of the Design Team - they are all so inspiring!

Have a lovely weekend

Just love this, Jennie! You already know I love the colour combination (!), and that Picket Fence stamping is so subtle and so effective. Love the wheels too, and great use of the tissue tape and film strip - brilliant!

The Salty Ocean and Gathered Twigs look fabulous together and I love the overstamping in the Picket Fence. I don't think I would have wanted to cover this up either. The Traveller looks fantastic too, that is such a versatile stamp. Love your tag! Sorry to be so late but you have only just come in my reader for some reason. Anne xx
