Time Piece

Today it is my turn to share a project for our current challenge theme at Country View Challenges which is "Only Men Allowed". So after a bit of a pink phase I have delved into my masculine products and come up with this card.

The main focus of the card is the Time Piece which I made very simply with some gold card, Black Distress Paint and a Couture Creations embossing folder.

After embossing the card I applied the paint over the whole piece and before it dried carefully wiped off some of the paint from the raised areas. Once it had dried completely I sanded it very lightly here and there.

Quite an incredible transformation!

I used some papers from the Tim Holtz Destinations Paper Stack for my background. A little Pumice Stone Distress Ink through the Clock Stencil and then Grunge Paste using the Harlequin Stencil. Finally some splatters of Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress Inks.

I used Black Soot Distress Ink and clear embossing powder for my stamped Time Traveller, painting with the Black Soot and Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint to continue the gilt theme. I wish you could see how well it all shines!

I do hope you will join in our challenge which is just perfect for those Father's Day Cards later this month.

Thank you for visiting today.
