Playing with an Old Favourite
Good morning everyone! and I hope the sun is shining with you on this lovely Friday morning. Today we have a Magpie Day over at Country View Crafts and the Design Team are sharing Postcards. So do hop on over and see everything from Vintage to Christmas to Contemporary - a lovely range of styles and themes.
I am afraid I rather indulged myself on this theme with an old favourite stamp. Coming home after seven weeks away from the craft room I decided to just go through drawers and my stamp folders to remind myself what I had! This Crafty Individuals stamp was one of my very first purchases and was an "all time favourite" for a long time, but I realised it hadn't had an outing in ages.
I have this rather wonderful Stampin Up Post Card stamp which I stamped in Coffee Arcival Ink and then used Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the text, flourishes and splodges. This is good sized stamp (5" x 3.5") and has been very useful for the backs of family photographs at Christmas time and birthdays.
The usual suspects have been used to embellish the postcard - dyed seam binding, lace, a favourite butterfly stamp, pearls and these rather lovely stamp (stamps!) from a Paper Artsy stamp set.
A very enjoyable make and I am sure will end up as a topper on a card for somebody in the future!
Thank you for joining me today and have a lovely weekend.
