Sparkle and Shine
I decided to make a start on some of my Christmas cards, but of course there are plenty of other ways to interpret this fabulous theme.
And so to the background of the card. I cut a piece of Ranger manilla cardstock to fit my card blank and sponged Festive Berries Distress Ink through the Harlequin stencil and over stamped some text with Antique Linen. Vintage Photo Distress Ink was blended around the edges. Despite trying to be very light handed it was a bit too strong in colour, so I spritzed the whole background with water and rolled a kitchen towel over it and then dried it with the heat gun. Perfect!
You can see what a lovely soft finish it gives.
For some shine I inked my die cut flourish in Walnut Stain and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Again you can't really see the shine in the photograph.
Quite a simple card but I think very effective thanks to that wonderful flower!
I do hope you will join us in our challenge this month and do hop on over to the blog to see the other fabulous makes from the rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer. And of course there are posts nearly every other day through the month from the Design Team as well.
Thank you for joining me today!
