PaperArtsy Play with Captain Peacock, Professor Plum and Teresa Green !

Last week at PaperArtsy we had all the excitement of the new colour releases and those fabulous stamps. I have now had a lovely play with the new PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics and made this small 8 x 8 mixed media layout with the resulting paper.

I used Leandra's brayer technique (details HERE) and the new Christmas Limited Edition colours: Captain Peacock, Professor Plum, Teresa Green and Snowflake. What fabulous colours and I just love the names - so many memories of Christmas afternoon playing Cluedo!

I absolutely loved the resulting layered background and wasn't sure what to do with it. However, I was tidying up the other day(well sort of!) and found an old 8 x 8 scrapbook album so have decided to use it for some smaller mixed media layouts.

The chalk paints work beautifully on these already made flowers - a mixture of Professor Plum and Snowflake.

And finally I used the new Frosting Glaze on a piece of acrylic packaging. Unfortunately the photograph doesn't really show how beautifully frosted it looks.

Lots of fun and I can see these colours being used in different combinations too.

Thank you for joining me today and do hop on over to the PaperArtsy blog for details of all the new stamp releases last week.

PS The photograph is of my Mum and Dad just before they got married in 1953.

What a gorgeous background! Love your way with soft color. I wouldn't have thought of using that Frosting Glaze on a die cut foliage, great idea. The photo of your parents is lovely and this background shows them off so well.
Gorgeous delicate brayered background, and I love the layout you've created with it. Charming photo, and the frosted branches are a lovely ethereal touch. Haven't managed to have a play with the Frosted yet - looking forward to some playtime!
