Its a Tag Friday !

I always love it when we get an extra Friday in the month as at A Vintage Journey we get the chance to play and make a tag!

I had an idea in my head of black and vintage brown with a single colour and this is how it came out. I am not so sure it was what I intended but I enjoyed the journey!

I cut two tags using the Wallflower Paper Stack and added texture paste and gesso before adding Rusty Hinge Distress Spray Stains along with a little Black Soot and Vintage Photo. I love the way the paint dries in the gaps between the texture paste.

I am loving the new Tattered Florals Punch. I was a little disappointed in the size when I first got it as it is smaller than the die cut … BUT … it is just a perfect size for tags and smaller items.

For this tag I sprayed three punched florals with Rusty Hinge Distress Spray Stain and made my rose. I then added some darker Rusty Hinge with a paint brush to highlight the edges and some of the creases.

Thank you for joining me today and I do hope you will hop on over to A Vintage Journey to see some stunning tags from the other Creative Guides.

Wonderful tag Jennie! Love how the background turned out with the subtle colours and stencilling. The way you layered the other embellishments looks super too and the rose finishes it all to perfection!

Beautiful subtle tones and wonderful collaged layout xx
Gorgeous, Jennie! I love the limited colour palette, but then how many shades of the same tones there are, from the subtle delicate inkiness in the background to the pop of that beautiful flower. And the distressed edging finishes the whole thing off wonderfully.
