Tag Friday at A Vintage Journey

Hello everyone! and welcome on this last day of July - and where is the summer? We are still living in hope up here in the north of something warmer than 10 degrees!

As July throws up a fifth Friday we have another Tag Friday over at A Vintage Journey and I am sure you will be fired with inspiration if you pop on over and visit us as this is always a wonderful opportunity for the DT to either experiment or make something close to their heart.

I am afraid mine is more close to my heart than experimentation! Back in May two very lovely ladies came to me for a little workshop in flower making and this was the tag I designed for their flowers.

I have used just about all my favourites here! That gorgeous Papillon background stamp, Tattered Florals Flowers, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves and Vintage Photo Distress Ink and that wonderful sentiment.

Thank you for joining me today and let's hope August brings us summer!

PS The foot surgery recovery is going well although I am not up  to doing much crafting at the moment but SOON !

Guest Designing at Stamps and Stencils

Today I have the pleasure and honour of guest designing over at Stamps and Stencils for the current challenge Happy Holidays.

Stamps and Stencils are a fabulous new(ish) challenge blog with a stunning DT, all of whom have, and continue to inspire me with wonderful mixed media projects.
There have been some fabulous challenges over the last few months and I have been delighted to be chosen in the top 3 for the Three of a Kind Challenge and Small is Beautiful.

So hop on over if you want to see how I put this art journal page together and have a browse around the stunning projects made by the DT for this month's challenge. You might even want to join in the challenge yourself!

Thank you for joining me today!

12 Tags of 2015 : July

With loads of time to craft at the moment (being home alone again!) I had great fun with Tim's tag this month as (yay!)I actually had the stamps. I decided to personalise it to celebrate my fabulous holiday in the USA with friends Bev and Cath.

You can find all the details for this month's tag on Tim's blog HERE.

I really loved the blending techniques using Distress Markers and the new Distress Glaze which I know I am going to use again and again. And wow what a fabulous way to make stripy ribbon!!

More of the blending and a very happy selphy of the three of us and the Manhattan skyline. Yes - it was the best adventure EVER!

Thank you for joining me today and I hope you are having some crafty fun too!

Leave A Little Sparkle

Hello Everyone! It is lovely to be back after a very short cruise on our boat, Mrs Muir, around the West Coast of Scotland. The weather was way too windy, very cold, wet and grey, so I decided yesterday to get stuck into some colour and messy stuff just to get myself back into the swing of things! Sometimes it is just fun to let yourself go with the flow and just see what happens.

Not quite how I envisioned the page, but it was fun and the colours certainly brightened a dull day (Victorian Velvet, Peeled Paint, Fossilised Amber and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Spray Stains).

I would like to enter my journal page into the current Frilly and Funkie challenge which is "Something to Say".

It is going to be a little quiet around here for the next few weeks as I travel to Glasgow next Tuesday for some (pretty minor) foot surgery but it does entail lots of rest after. Hopefully I will get a couple more projects finished before I go to share with you, but "normal service" will be resumed next month. I say this as I am very conscious of quite a number of new followers both on Google and Bloglovin and I really appreciate your support and lovely comments. Thank you for joining me on this creative journey - you never know where it will lead you!

Thank you for looking!
