Tag Friday for A Vintage Journey

My last post of 2016 and what a fabulous crafting year I have had!

I always love a Tag Friday at A Vintage Journey as it is a chance to just "create". So this is very much a "me" tag and as usual using up a number of embellishments lying around the desk.

My resolution at the start of the year was to use all my leftovers (both in the craft room and the kitchen). I must have done well as my "bits" box is a lot less full than it used to be (and we've had an awful lot of soup during the year!).

I started with a tag cut from text paper which then got a coat of gesso and some background stamping.

I had lots of bits of this gorgeous blue Maja Design paper left over from a previous project, so had fun die cutting and stamping tickets and labels for various layers.

A gorgeous photo from Tim's Photo Booth pack.

Not one of my flowers but a Prima white rolled rose which I painted with ColourArte Pigments Caribbean Mist and around the edges Autumn Leaf. I spritzed it very heavily with water and let it dry and am very pleased with the effect - it has a most beautiful sheen without being "glitzy"!

As always there are some fabulous inspirational tags from my fellow Creative Guides, so do hop on over by clicking the link HERE

Thank you for joining me today and I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the New Year celebrations when they come.

With each New Year we get a fresh clean page to start over.
So I am wishing you ALL the hope that life writes a beautiful new chapter for you this year.
