Autumn Colours and some Special News!
Welcome everyone to my second post of today and some very special news! I was absolutely thrilled when last month Laura invited me onto the Design Team at Our Creative Corner.
Our Creative Corner has been a favourite challenge site of mine since I first started entering challenges a number of years ago and I have always been inspired by the Design Team's projects and particularly the Spotlight Posts. I am so very excited to be part of this fabulously talented DT and hope that you will follow me in this fabulous journey.
And so to the challenge for this month:
The colours of Autumn! Beautiful and dramatic reds, golds, yellows, browns, greens and all shades in between. Your challenge this month is to take some inspiration from the colours in the image and make an autumnul inspired project.
So here is my piece inspired by those beautiful Autumn hues. Unfortunately when I made this I was still crafting on crutches and couldn't lay my hands on everything I really needed but these were the inks I used:
I started the plaque on a piece of grey board covered with gesso and used texture paste and die cuts which were lying within reach. The gesso really tones down these vibrant colours.
Once everything had been sprayed I played around with rub ons, chit chats, pearl buttons and some metal embellishments.
And finally the flowers and leaf - inked with the same colours.
I do hope that you are inspired to join us in our challenge at Our Creative Corner this month and hop on over to see the rest of the Design Team makes - such an amazing amount of talent using many different products and in many different styles.
Creative Embellishments are the sponsors for this months challenge and they are offering a random prize winner a $25 voucher to spend in their store.
So have a hunt through your stash and play with all those wonderful autumn colours and share your project with us before the end of the month.
Thank you for joining me (again!) today.
