Grungy Monday 11 : Faux Batik
Another great Grungy Monday challenge over at Studio L3 - Faux Batik.
Linda has chosen another great Tim Holtz technique for this week's challenge, one which I have not done before although I do alot of resist. Click the link here to Tim's blog and details of the 2008 technique. Also do take a look at the great inspirational pieces from Dan, Deborah and Linda.
A bit of a "happy accident" for me as some of my dictionary paper stuck to the melted embossing powder, but I quite like it! The Hero Arts stamp has quite a watercolour distress look, so I decided to go with it rather than start again. I used Wild Honey, Blue China, Rusty Hinge and a touch of Vintage Photo, mainly because I wanted to start using some of the grungepaper roses I made for a recent workshop and which are sitting beside my desk begging to be used!
I hope you are all getting better weather than we are here (heavy rain and gale force winds) but at least I am getting alot of craft pieces completed for the SWRI bi-annual show in August.
Have a good week everyone!
