Grungy Monday 19 : Plastic Packaging

Our lovely host Linda over at Studio L3 has chosen something more recent for this week's challenge - Tag 10 of the 2010 Twelve Tags of Christmas.  Click the link here to go direct to Tim's blog and his instructions/techniques for this wonderful tag.

I actually really loved doing this tag last Christmas and it was one of my favourites however, it took me a while to think of something non-christmassy.  I was very tempted to go down the dressmaking route again, but forced myself to use a lovely Paper Artsy Bird Stamp.  He didn't look too good painted white, so I tweaked the technique and covered him with tissue tape (as we'd done on tag 3 last christmas).

I used two lots of packaging - the flourish branch is cut from corrugated packaging and then my embossed piece over the tag is packaging from a Ranger product.  I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder as I thought it would look like rain drops (?!).

This is another great challenge, so do hop along to Studio L3 and see the wonderful inspirational pieces by Christine, Julie and Linda ....... and of course the wonderful pieces by all those taking part in the challenge.

It's great to be back!  See you next week.
