Grungy Monday 21: Transparent Illusions

It seems such a long time since I posted anything, but I have had a wonderful week in Paris with my four wonderful schoolfriends and then a long weekend in Scotland with my son, daughter in law and gorgeous grandson.  So I was really grateful for Linda giving us a long period to complete this latest Grungy Monday Challenge.

So ..... transparent illusions ........... four ways to "rock" fragments in Tim's latest technique video which you can find here:  Transparent Illusions : Fragments.

I tried all four techniques, but sadly my embossed piece melted at the edge (oops) and my clear tape technique didn't work at all, despite a couple of attempts (but I will keep trying as I think I am a bit over-enthusiastic with the rubbing!).  So my tag includes the collage fragment and the aged fragment with alcohol inks.

I have noticed a number of people starting to use Aged Mahogany over the last few weeks, so I got it out and gave it a whirl with Vintage Photo and I really love the colour combination.  Mind you my hands are now a nice shade of red - it is a very juicy pad.

So if you have not taken part yet you still have until September 18 to post your creation over at Studio L3.  Do take a look at this challenge as Linda has made a gorgeous piece of art celebrating her favourite beverage and using all four techniques.  Plus ... there are some fantastic submissions and some most novel ways of using the techniques.

Enjoy your week everyone.  I hope to be back visiting blogs now that I'm home for a while .............
