Recycled Packaging ....

I am still struggling to get back into the swing of things - it is amazing how you simply forget so many techniques that before the holiday were just second nature!  So I thought I would try and catch up with the Card Challenges on Swirlydoos and this week's challenge is to use a piece of Prima packaging and some lace.  I "loosely" followed the sketch!

I've been wanting to use some of this packaging for a while as it is so pretty.  Everything else was in my scrap box, including all the flower petals and leaves - made or cut out for other projects but not used - so very quick to put together.

I woke at 6am this morning to the sound of torrential rain, but it really didn't sound like anything I had heard before.  Once the fog (and it was thick!) lifted, we noticed that there had been a massive peat slide to the south of our house, down the hill and into the Loch.  The "rainburst" has left a huge swathe of Shetland flooded, with more peat slides and a number of houses having to be pumped out.   Our weather is certainly unpredictable these days!

Loving your pretty card Jennie. Seeing the peat slide must be a bit scarey. x

Beautiful card with lovely elements and colours. Sorry to hear about all the bad weather and the problems it has brought for your wonderful area.
Pleased that you are safe.

Love Chrissie xx
Oooh! This is cleverly done, I would not have guessed at first glance that this was made using packaging.
