Trinket Box Makeover

For the final week of our Crafts-Too Challenge I am staying with our family tradition of making gifts for each other and have a little gift box to share with you.  I am always collecting old boxes for make-overs and I found this in a charity shop with some beads in it.

The box will either be used to contain a small present or perhaps given as a trinket box in its own right.  I used  a sheet of the lovely Prima script papers and that wonderful Marianne Design die which seems to creep it's way into everything I am doing at the moment!

I have added a few of the usual flowers, flourishes, scrim and muslin and some lovely delicate lace around the edges of the box lid.

You still have a week to join us in our Christmas Festivities fun.  Do pop over to Crafts-Too Challenge You and have a look at some wonderful DT inspirational pieces and some fabulous entries.

Thank you all so much for visiting while I was away in Rome - I really appreciate it.  I had an absolutely fabulous time even though it was my third visit.  I now have lots of new photographs to scrap!!!!

This is such a beautiful box and a charming make-over. Love the embellishments and colours and the lovely vintage feel that they give. That die is gorgeous, and no wonder you are giving it a work out! Have a greatweekend. Cheers, Di

Stunning make over Jennie, so elegant and pretty and I always adore your flowers! Love those tone on tone colours too!

Glad to hear you had such a good time in Rome too, some much needed sunshine I guess to get you through the winter!

What a beautiful altered box, Jennie - elegant and delicate, with your trademark beautiful flower and subtle vintage styling. I love it... and that blue sky in Rome too!

Sorry I haven't been around much. The big move (clearing and moving out of the family home of 40 years) knocked me out, but I'm looking forward to some proper catching up over the next days and weeks.
