A Snowy Day in Shetland ......

I am a great admirer of those crafters who can create a white on white piece - they always look so stunning.  So I thought it was time to have a go especially as it was a cold and snowy day here in Shetland when I created this piece and is today as well.

Our new monthly theme at Crafts to Challenge You is the Natural World and the first twist is Add A Flower (just made for me!!)

I cut everything from linen card in order to create some texture and it was fun searching through my dies for pieces to cut (no hang ups about colours matching!).

I used two lovely dies for the basis of the tag, a lovely delicate Crafts Too Ivy Die and that fabulous Marianne Design Open Weave Plate which I am sure you are all getting fed up of seeing!

The large flower was made with a very ordinary flower punch and you can find the tutorial HERE on my blog (the Dahlia Style Flower). The smaller flowers were made with one of Donna Salazars Itty Bitty Flowers Die which are also in constant use!

I hope you will join us for our Challenge at Crafts Too Challenge You this month.  The Natural World around us at the moment is very inspiring and I am sure everyone can Add a Flower!

Thanks for visiting and have a lovely weekend x

So beautiful Jennie! It would scare me rigid to have to make something all in white - no paint? no ink? Help! I love all the layers of detail you have created.
It's good to be back visiting again and my apologies for such a long absence (I am NEVER moving again!).

Oh Jennie, this is stunning! I do love white on white even if I could never do it myself (I am too messy). Your flowers are always gorgeous. Hugs, Anne x

I love how this was inspired by the snow Jennie, a truly wonderful card, with amazing textures and your own inimitable flowers.
