Distressingly Satisfying!
Good morning everyone! It is my turn to kick off the month over at Country View Challenges. Our theme this month is Paper Chase and to me there is nothing more satisfying than distressing paper!
I started the layout with this cream cardstock from My Minds Eye which is thicker than normal cardstock so will take all the water you want to give it. I sprayed the edges and scrunched them well and then when dry I added Grunge Paste through a text mask. I sprayed it again with some home made spray using Vintage Photo Distress Re-Inker and added some splotches here and there.
After that I looked for lots of text paper which again I tore, sprayed and scrunched. The photograph got torn edges as well. Some edges were distressed with a Tim Holtz Distresser and the leaves and clock were cut from sandable cardstock. In order to pull it all together I decided to add more Grunge Paste over the photograph and torn layers.
Butterflies were stamped onto text paper and of course my handmade flowers are from scrunched paper too! There is a tutorial HERE for these rolled shabby roses using the Tattered Floral Die.
I love this quote! it is just perfect for the three of us. We are always trying to set the camera up to take a "selfie" but on this particular afternoon in the Swiss forest near Bev's house, she kept being distracted! A layout of some lovely memories!
Thanks for visiting!
