Paper Chase Anniversary!

Hello Everyone and a very special welcome to more new followers! It is really lovely having you here on this amazing journey!

This month over at Country View Challenges we celebrate our first anniversary and as paper is a traditional present for a first wedding anniversary our challenge this month is

Paper Chase

anything goes as long as
there is a strong theme of paper

My love of paper started at a very young age and I was so proud of a lovely writing case and fountain pen given to me by my Nana for I think my 7th Birthday.  So for my DT make I decided to make a little shadow box including lots of little things I used to make when that age too.

I used to love making little postcards, stamps and rolled up bits of paper with red ribbon. I was always a great hoarder of old calendar's as well.

I made the shadow box using the Tim Holtz postage stamp die and covered it with old style papers - again more of my favourites.

I aged the front quite by mistake!  I tried to cover it with Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder but for some reason it only took here and there. I was just about to throw it in the bin and start again when I dropped the Vintage Photo DI on it and so I decided to start rubbing it in to the Embossing Powder - the result was this rather aged looking effect!

When I was in Rome last October I found a fabulous shop selling old fashioned sealing wax and stamps, so I treated myself, as it really is just a lovely thing to own and great fun too.

I hope you will join us this month for our anniversary challenge. Click the link HERE for the today's showcase of DT makes, but keep visiting as there are lots more to show you through the month.

This is a scheduled post for me as I am on holiday in Ireland but I hope to catch up with you all soon.

Have a lovely weekend x

PS Photos are not great as I had to take them in the greenhouse as the house was too dark and then there was too much sun in the greenhouse!!
