Playing Around with Cracked Pistachio
Hello Everyone and I hope you are all enjoying this holiday Easter weekend.
It was lovely to have the chance to play today and as I can get stuck in a bit of soft, monotone rut sometimes I thought I would experiment with the new Cracked Pistachio.
I thought it might be rather nice to try it with Dusty Concord, but instead I managed to pick up the Seedless Preserves Distress Spray Stain and I was spritzing before I realised! However, I quite like the combination.
The tag was started for another project and I had used the lovely blossom layering stencil with some texture paste but the stencil slipped and I didn't get a clean image. I still gessoed the tag but put it on one side for a bit of experimentation. So after spritzing with Cracked Pistachio it then got rather deluged with Seedless Preserves!
I decided to keep going and decorated the tag with embellishments from my "bits" box which had been made with Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, so "technically" they should all match!
Not quite my usual but a useful exercise!
I would like to enter this tag into the very first challenge of Stamps and Stencils which is Anything Goes. This is going to be a fabulous challenge site and with a very inspirational and creative Design Team. So lovely to see you all back together again! Do hop on over to see what the team have put together for this challenge - every piece is stunning.
