And so to my project to celebrate Topflight's Birthday - a birthday card and gift tag using PaperArtsy stamps and Infusions.
Raquel (aka Scrapcosy) are ALWAYS my go to stamps and this set in particular (ESC04) is one of my all time favourites.
Combine them with PaperArtsy Raspberry Infusions and you have a wonderful base to layer some vintage elements to make a lovely 3D birthday card.
And so here is how it came together:
I always use my Infusions on a base of PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Paint as it lightens the colours and allows more water to be added. So my Smoothy Cardstock was painted first with Chalk Fresco and then the stamp white embossed to provide the texture for the Infusions.
Don't you just LoVE all those wonderful colours in the little pot of Infusions! I spray with water first, sprinkle the Infusions and then add more water, mopping up here and there to get puddles and lighter areas.
I stamped the text stamp to the right of the main image with Archival Tree Branch Ink, stamping off first so I got a lighter colour.
I machine stitched my base to piece of contrasting card, catching the die cut doily as I did so. I find it easier to machine stitch the cardstock rather than glueing it when it has had alot of product thrown at it.
I dyed some seam binding in Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and embossed a butterfly from the stamp set using white embossing powder and the Infusions again.

The tag was made from leftovers. I cut the tag first and then die cut pieces to fit using a piece of lace to cover the join.
Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
Happy Crafting!
