Grungy Monday 04 : Texture Fades and Distress

A bit late for "Monday", but just made it.  We've been hard at work this week doing the final decorating on our kitchen and we decided that there would be no "play time" until we finished.  We have now finished - hooray!

So to Grungy Monday ....... This week's challenge over on Studio L3 is the wonderful technique of using texture fades and distress inks.  Click the link here to go to Linda's blog for details of the challenge and the link to Mr T's great instructional video.  Do take a look at the wonderful examples provided this week and the entries for the challenge.  They really are quite fantastic and such a huge range of ideas.

I used only two colours of distress inks for this hanging (I'm really into hangings at the moment!) - Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.   Having spent alot of time recently making flowers I thought I would do a "manly" theme instead.  It was alot of fun.  So thanks Linda for yet another wonderful challenge.  I did do this technique during the Twelve Tags last year, but didn't get to grips with it - I must have been putting the ink on the wrong side of the embossing folder .............. hmmm.  I shall certainly be doing this technique again as it really is effective.

Have a great weekend everyone and thank you if you are visiting my blog to look at this piece - I really appreciate it!
