Calico Stamped Book

A quick post to share a calico stamped book I made for my friend for Christmas.  I am an avid follower of Tammy Tatterow and when she made a beautiful stamped fabric book, then posted the instructions, I just had to have a go!  So I made one for my friend, which she got on Boxing Day (and loved it!) and I have one part made for myself.

I used Glimmer Mists and stamped on top with Arcival inks in various different colours.  Buttons down the spine cover the slightly wonky sewing! (not my strong point!).  I coloured the metal flowers with alcohol inks and then used distress embossing inks to give it a softer look.

Not sure what I will use mine for just yet, but I think some inky pages may make there way there.
