Glorious Glimmer!

As soon as I saw the layout on the front cover of the first edition of Scrap365 I just had to have a go.  But it took a while to think of a photograph that would be bright enough to take the colours.  So here are the "Famous Five Schoolfriends" in their PJs - in that when we meet we talk late into the night over a bottle (or two) of wine, it makes sense to get into those PJs early!

I used Tiger Lily, Vintage Pink, Patina and Olive Vine Glimmer Mists and threw in a bit of Gingersnap Smooch Spritz.  I unscrewed the bottles and used the plastic "tube" to daub and splash paint over the cream card.  I then covered up bits and pieces with some white gesso which helped dull it down and bring it all together.  I sprayed some Prima flowers with the darkest pink Glimmer Mist and the key with the Patina just to get some consistent colour into the embellishments.

I really love this even though it is very bright for me!  I shall certainly be trying this technique again and will be on the look out for a suitable photo!
