More bits of plastic ....................

It is my turn to lead the Shetland Scrapbookers crop at the end of August and I normally do a mini-book which proves very popular.  This time I have decided to share with everyone a small scrapbook from recycled plastic packaging.  I recently bought a new cycle helmet and was very attracted to it as the box (which was far larger than the helmet) had a plastic cover with very little printing on it!

I cut various different shapes for the book using the Rose Creation Shapeabilities die and the Sissix Styled Label Die.  The only thing you have to think about when decorating is making sure that each side of the plastic matches, unless of course you want it to show through.  I used some scraps of paper and a few embellishments.  No flowers!  - I can't wait for a grandaughter!

We had alot of fun one lunchtime with our grandson Callum who was trying to copy us "popping our cheek" but without success!  He thought it was great fun though!  A little mini book like this is just perfect for a few photographs of a single event.

Thanks for looking and I hope it might inspire you to have a go yourself - after all it is only some old packaging and some scraps of paper!
