Take 5!

August seems to be a month of EXTRA's and with a fifth Sunday in the month Anything But A Card are challenging you to Take 5.  This is a mini challenge for this week only and we would love to see your makes using either five of something, or the number five ………… basically anything which inspires you by the number 5.

I decided to take five Distress Inks - literally randomly. They were all in a bit of a mess after a previous project, so I did just pick 5! And this is what I got.

I used the Wrinkle Free Distress technique and have decided that these five would make a very good Christmas set! I overstamped the Papillon background stamp in Picket Fence Distress Paint and blended Aged Mahogany around the edges. For a random set of inks I thought this looked amazing!

I just HAD to have a go with the new Tim Holtz Embossed Butterfly - isn't it fantastic. Not what I did with it, but the butterfly itself!!

After a bit of a disaster with some rub-ons I finished the tag with some seam binding coloured with the original five DIs.

A lot of fun! and a great experiment. I hope you will have some fun too joining us for this mini challenge and just TAKE 5 …

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
