So Tender
It is the most AWFUL day here - very wet, very windy and very cold! It is also another dark day and just so difficult to craft or do anything really, so I thought I would cheer myself up with a blog post and share this layout I made last week for a challenge over at Swirlydoos.
I absolutely adore this photograph of Callum and Caitlyn, taken back in the summer when Caitlyn was only three weeks old.
I was entering a Swirlydoos Round Robin Challenge and I was last in the team, so the design was set, including the inclusion of the flourish and flower cluster. I only had this one piece of double sided Maja Design paper which I used for everything! by the time I had finished punching and cutting I had only two little strips left! As I was only using one sheet of 12 x 12 I decided to make my own background paper using Paper Artsy Grunge Paste, a damask mask and Tattered Rose Distress Ink.
Peggy also challenged us to use a technique from the Swirlydoos Youtube Video Library and I chose Rae's recent distressed/embossed chippie technique which you can find HERE if you would like to have a go.
It has now taken me four attempts to type this blog post, so I wonder if it will actually post! All due to the weather I am afraid and the continual storms we keep getting. I am also struggling to visit some of your blogs - I can see your lovely projects but am unable to leave a comment. I haven't forgotten you! (We are all looking forward to the new Shetland broadband link but no date has been set yet.)
Thank you for visiting and I hope the weather is a whole lot better where you are x
