Sizzix/Eileen Hull Chapter 2 Release

Today we are celebrating the release of Eileen Hull's Sizziz Chapter 2 Release.

And what another fabulous release!!!

I have always enjoyed creating with shadow boxes as I love the depth they afford for the inside collage or decoration and Eileen has created an amazing die which goes together so easily to make either a square or rectangular shadow box.

This is what Eileen has to say about this release:

Notice something different? There are no ScoreBoards dies in this collection! This Release includes two Shadowbox Frames Thinlits sets that also include some decorative flowers and shapes. The pieces may be used interchangeably to create square and rectangular frames. The Shadowbox Elements Thinlits set contains more decorative pieces to embellish your fames with but they may also be used on cards, tags and journals! Topping it off is the Crochet Mandala 3D Embossing Folder that you will just have to have- the detail is absolutely incredible!

This set of dies is very versatile since all of the components coordinate and work together so you can create endless combinations of projects in multiple sizes and shapes. The embossing folder creates a beautiful background for all of the scenes you might want to make, in addition to all the other uses you will find for it.
Thanks for being open to new ways of creating!

What you need to know is that these little boxes are ADDICTIVE !!! so I do have rather a number to share with you!

This is my favourite .... I just love these 49 & Market papers which I have mixed up with some of Eileen's stamps and some Tim Holtz embellishments to create this vintage shadow box.

I love that it is possible to get such a depth of layers. I have everything on foam pads above the metal embellishment in the top corner - probably about five different layers.

And here is another totally different style, still with 49 & Market papers, but including some of the Shadow Box Elements.

These little houses and the fence are just adorable!

Again using 49 & Market papers and the Shadow Box elements but creating a slightly different effect with text papers behind the windows and doors.

And another ...... (told you there were plenty!).

For this By the Sea shadow box I used four short sides to create a square.

I used ordinary white cardstock which then got covered in a crackle paint and then layered some of my leftover Graphic 45 papers to create the little collage inside and outside.

Again I have managed to create quite a few layers as the depth of the box is so good. These are shells collected from Shetland and Orkney beaches.

There are more shadow boxes to come later in the month when I share a tutorial, but I would like to end this post with some cards I have made using the Shadow Box Elements.

I think you will agree they are very versatile set!

These two cards have a very homely feel and I have used some scraps of paper along with some background stamping.

And for this final card I have created my small collage on a beautifully embossed piece using the Crochet Mandala 3D Embossing Folder. The detail is just beautiful.

I hope you will have fun on the hop and get lots of inspirational ideas for these wonderful dies.

Check back in a couple of weeks time for another shadow box along with a tutorial.
