Lightly Dance with Crackling Campfire!
Hello and welcome!
Here we are already at the beginning of another month ....... despite all the restrictions and not being able to go anywhere, here at Tingwall House, we are both keeping very busy and enjoying our art and music, along with our creating either in the craft room or the wood workshop.
Our new challenge at A Vintage Journey starts today hosted by the lovely Annie.
She is challenging us to uses numbers as the focal point in our projects. Stencils, die cuts, fussy cuts or rub ons, rust them up, use texture paste or paint them, the decision is yours as long as the numbers are prominent.
We have loads of inspiration for you, so just hop on over to the challenge site HERE to see what else the Creative Guides have been making
The new Tim Holz Distress colour Crackling Campfire was just sitting on my desk waiting for an outing, so I decided to have a little experiment using the usual Distress techniques but combining it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ........ a lovely combination!
The lighter tag has crackle paint smeared here and there too.
I am SO missing my usual catch ups with my two old school friends - we should have been in Crete in May and enjoying a long weekend in Essex around now. So ..... for when we can meet again this might make the cover of a holiday journal.
I really love the way these colours combine - the Crackling Campfire seems to be layers of orange and red. It looks as though I used two or three colours here but all one!
Sadly I creased one of the legs before getting it stuck down ....... the things you don't notice until you take a zoomed in photograph!
A final touch was to isolate part of a quote from one of Alison Bomber's quote sets (Life and Living EAB19).
You can just see a little of the crackle medium behind the ladies.
A fun and colourful tag to brighten up these days of Autumn and a lovely reminder of happy times spent (and to spend!) with my two great friends.
As always thank you for joining me and I hope you find time to join us in our challenge.
Have a great crafting weekend.
