Topflight Stamps Celebration!

Hello and welcome to this celebration post for Topflight Stamps!

It is Topflight Stamps 5th birthday and to celebrate, I have been invited to team up with some great designers to showcase celebratory projects using the unique products available at Topflight Stamps.

It was Mothers Day here in the UK on Sunday and I know it is an upcoming celebration in other parts of the world. It is always lovely to get a bouquet of flowers (my sons are very generous! and always remember!) so I thought it would be nice to create something similar in a card.

I have used Gwen Lafleurs new release stamps for PaperArtsy - there are so many combinations of flower arrangements from these two fabulous sets.  If you click the link under the stamp set you will find them in the Topflight Store.

I have used a single layer stamping technique for the flowers and leaves. Stamping the flowers first and masking them off with post it notes and then stamping the foliage over the top. The trick is to work out which layer you want on top and stamp that first. Then everything else goes into the background.

I painted the flowers with Distress Inks Festive Berries, Wild Honey and Peeled Paint, but any water based ink would work just as well.

The only element of the card I have raised is the jam jar (which I absolutely love!). This enabled me to put some string around it and tie on the celebrate tag.

I then layered my stamped piece onto some green cardstock stitching around the edges and blending in a little Distress Ink Peeled Paint around the edges.

I used just two flower stamps and one of the jam jars, so from these two sets it is possible to create a huge array of different celebratory bouquets on a card!

Please hop along with us and see all the beautiful talent from this amazing group of designers. You should have arrived here from Annette Allen's blog. If not, no worries, catch the details below and follow along here. If you get lost  you can always start at the Topflight Stamps Blog again.

Hi Jennie. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card. I had not seen this brand of stamp so thank you for that too. I am new to card making so I really appreciate the tip about sticky note masking to stamp the background. The tag popped up with the grommet and the bow is a great accent.
I just might "need" that jelly jar - it's SO cute. What a great card.
Happy Bday to Top Flight Stamps and thanks for sharing your inspiration.
