CCC 31 : Rusted Enamel

Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge this week is ......

Rusted Enamel.

Yet another technique I missed when going through the book!  I am amazed how a piece of paper (my picture border) can be changed so quickly to look like metal.  It does all depend on the colours used though - I used Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo Distress Inks for this.  Experimentation with other colours were not as successful - but I've got loads of "bits" to use up on other projects.

Take a look on page 41 of the Compendium of Curiosities Book for the details of the technique and click the link to Linda's blog below for some stunning examples of how this technique has been used:

Jennie, this is TOO COOL! What a great way to use the rusted grunge. The colors you chose really are perfect, and made the most of this technique, and how smart to incorporate it into a vintage frame. The imagery you used is great (wow, check out that mustache!) and the geometric background is masculine but still really pretty.
