CCC30 : Altered Metal with Paint

This week's challenge from the wonderful Linda at Studio L3 is Altered Metal with Paint.  I didn't actually have any metal objects to alter, so I cut a butterfly from some craft metal and embossed it with the cuttlebug.  (I shall certainly be doing alot more of this as the metal picks up the embossing beautifully.)  The only paint dabber I had which showed up in the debossing was Cranberry so I was a bit stuck with following through with pink!

See page 30 of the Compendium of Curiorisities for how the technique is done, but also click the link below to Linda's blog for some wonderful interpretations of this technique.

Jennie, this is like Zen in tag form! It's absolutely gorgeous. Your altered metal butterfly is amazing, and the beautiful background and inspiring sentiment couldn't be more perfect. Lovely, soft colors and such an elegant design. I love it!
